Happy Valentines Day

When you meet the right person and you know in your heart you have found ‘the one’.  Many of the questions you may ask of each other become irrelevant.

Less important is what they do for a living, what car they drive or where they like to holiday.  More important is understanding their hopes and dreams, and what they long for.  It isn’t important how old they are or their star sign.  Knowing they have a sense of adventure, a sense of humour and enjoy the thrill of risk in life.  To fulfil your dreams together.

You want to know if they can find joy in the simplest of things and cherish your successes as well as celebrate their own.  Can they be true to themselves and not swayed by the opinions of others.  Will they support and respect your ideals and opinions, even if they do not fully understand them.  But do so because they recognise what is important to you.  And admire your conviction to be true to yourself.

To be able to look at the person in front of you and know that when life’s ups and downs touch them and you, they will meet each with acceptance, respect and dignity.  They will embrace it as part of life.  Life’s sorrows, disappointments and pain. All of the natural balances of life.

And when life’s noise and distractions inevitably swirl around you both, you find the silence to be as one.  To see only each other and hear only the words spoken together.  Then you know you have found ‘the one’.
